The Slow Electron

Project started: October 2021.
Length of the boat with the bathing platform: 18 feet. The bathing platform is removable for boat storage.
Fabrication: All marine wood with fiberglass sheet reinforcement at the bottom.
Weight: about 900 LBS.
Propulsion: 2 electric motors of 15,000 watts rendering close to 30HP of total power.
Propulsion batteries: 16S Li-ion (70V) 22Ah per motor. Can be extended with new battery technology.
Instrumentation battery: Separate 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Ion Battery, 4000+ Cycles.

Sound system: 6000 Watts total with 4 speakers 8" Club Marine Series JBL 2-Way 300 Watts RMS and Coaxial controlled by an Android Dragon tablet mounted on the passenger side console.
12V – 110V Inverter to be able to plug any 110V appliances like hair dryer or a small fridge. Not to Forget USB-A and USB-C to charge older or newer cellular phones.
“Raising from the floor” lunch table to maximize space. (custom made double scissors lift with linear actuator)
Faucet and sink with fresh water tank, 12v pump and a drain tank for waste water. (Eco friendly!).
Not to forget a wall mounted fire extinguisher and an emergency toilet.
